My name is Rui Xiao. I am a junior studying computer science and quantitative economics at Tufts University. I am interested in both finance and technology.

I had a preliminary reserach in Monetary Policy at Economics Department of Tufts University. My research mainly focused on comparitive analysis between pre-2008 and post-2008 monetary policy in U.S. Besides the research, I have an interest in equity research and I can build basic models to find out companys' free cash flow and other metrics to perform valuations including DCF and multiples. Currently I am working on a VBA program that parses financial statements from text to Excel so as to improve the efficiency for building financial models.

My interest in technology mainly focuses on robotics. I had 6-year experience in robot soccer competition before college. During college, I gain a better foundation in programming and I can now use C, C++, HTML, JavaScript, and MongoDB to build models, data strctures, or databases with considerable complexity to solve many real life problems. Cases are shown in School Work.
